Flu Vaccinations
The flu season can cause significant disruption in the workplace. Even healthy employees may be unwell for several days and fatigued for much longer, and because flu spreads easily it can quickly affect entire teams, increasing absence and causing operational challenges.
Workplace flu vaccination programmes are a simple, effective way to reduce this risk. The vaccine is safe, widely used and helps prevent infection or reduce the severity of symptoms, supporting both employee wellbeing and business continuity.

Frequently Asked Questions
What vaccine is used in the workplace flu programme?
The main vaccine administered in the workplace programme is determined by The UK Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (Dept of Health and Social Care) each year but is generally an egg-cultured vaccine. "Egg-free" and "over-65" vaccines can be made available upon request.
Who is eligible for the workplace flu vaccine?
The workplace flu vaccine is widely used and targeted at those in the workplace, under 65 years old. It’s advisable that even the “young and healthy” get vaccinated, even if their symptoms are milder, they can easily transmit flu to those around them.
Does having the flu vaccine mean you won’t get flu?
No, it doesn’t guarantee it, but it significantly reduces your risk and should make your illness milder if you do catch it.
What locations do you cover?
The workplaces we visit are predominantly in London, the Thames Valley, Milton Keynes, Cambridgeshire and the Midlands, but other UK locations can be considered on request. Vouchers can be issued across the UK.
Do you need the flu vaccine every year?
Yes, it’s recommended each year as the strains of flu change and immunity naturally drops over time.
